I would like to have a similarly specced camera (video capabilities don't need to be super) but with a viewfinder. Sunny days and my old eyes limit the usefulness of screen only cameras.

If it doesn't get to hot than it should be a pretty good camera with those features. I guess they showly should bring out more updates to make the heating up problem getting less and maybe if it still gets really hot with 4k or to video it should have other kinds of restrictions for solving that but slowly solving this with more updates is really good

I don't understand those video limitations being a problem. Most movies are made from short clips. Most talking head videos don't require full frame, low noise cameras, as done in studio. Most vlogs are also cut, as hardly noone can speak 1 hour strait without mistakes.

It really does look like Lumix tried to cripple the video features on this camera to have it not compete with the S5. But because of the reviews and low sales they had to uncripple it.

6k is for future displays, right now most of ppl still use maximum 4k displays

I wish Panasonic would give us firmware updates more frequently to their flagship S1 Series of cameras like Sony has done to their flagship A1 camera which still gets frequent firmware and software updates.
