I am a strong Kontaveit fan. I watch all of the WTA tournaments every week sometimes getting up in the middle of the night to watch Kontaveit and Swiatek. She has looked a little lethargic this week. I don't think she is playing close to the level she was playing at during her fantastic run last year. She is a rhythm player. She does best against players that don't use a lot of variety. Jabeur has given her problems and will continue to give her problems for this reason. Jabeur reminds me a little of Barty. She is short but has a strong serve and can play with the power players, but throws in plenty of variety to disrupt rhythm players. I hope I am wrong, but I think Jabeur will beat her again. Jabeur showed me how well she can adapt when she beat Kivitova. It should be a very interesting match, and I am really pulling for a Kontaveit win, but I will not be surprised if Jabeur takes it.

I agree. I think Kontaveit is just a bit more consistent and she’s coming off an incredible winning streak from the second half of 2021.
