Fun mix of foreign coins. The old coins whether foreign or American have the best designs. Can't wait for the next video ✌😀👍

At 10:24, it's a 5 yen coin from Japan. They use the Japanese imperial date system, so you need to find out the first two characters on the side with many characters. It's either Showa (Hirohito), Heisei (Akihito), or Reiwa (Naruhito). Yours says Showa, and with a little bit of knowledge of Japanese numerals, we calculate that the coin says Showa 38. Now, the system calculates how many years it's been since the current emperor took power. So right now, in 2022, it's Reiwa 3, because it's been 3 years since the current emperor took power. So, we take when Hirohito became emperor (1926) and add 38. We get 1964. So you have a 1964 5 yen coin. Hope this helps!

Edit: At 21:43, the coin is a 50 yen coin from Showa 49. The 50s and 100s use Hindu-Arabic numerals to show the number, so this isn't as hard. Know that any yen design higher than 30 is a Showa, so 1926 plus 49 is 1975. So you have a 1975 50 yen coin.

Edit Edit: The 5 yen coin at 23:43 is Showa 47 I think. So you have a 1973 5 yen.

The Thai coin at 26:21 is, well, a Thai coin. It's is a 1 Baht coin, dated 2531, meaning 1988 in the Gregorian calendar.

Any Mexican, Barbados, or Israeli coins in there you would be willing to part with...hit me up.

It is definitely an addiction, and every so often I need my fix. I just broke down and picked up a 7 lb bag.😁 That is a cool batch that you picked up. There are definitely quite a few really cool coins in there. 👍👍

Couple more things to add, that opa is a ww2 ration token, and the lovely indo-china 1 cent is gorgeous and in fine condition it worth about $25 dollars, great find.

Check the mintages on Canadian cents, some were low mintage 1922-1926 in XF-AU they are worth a few bucks.

the LCS I frequent has these open boxes of foreign and Finnish coins and a 1kg grabbag's 15€. It's mostly mid-20th century stuff, but I find quite a lot of coinage with good details and lustre. I mostly look out for circulating commemoratives and silver circulated coins that occasionally pop up. Gonna ask next time whether I can pick and mix myself.

What that 1912 Russian 2 kopeks at 29:12 looks great, I would grade that one at a Fine to Very Fine worth between $2.00-$4.00, thats a great fine.

How do you organize your foreign coins?

Not a WW1 German coin. WW1 didn't start until 1914.

19:55 That's French Commerce Ministry money, basically emergency money since the treasury couldn't make more money in the degree they needed to during the early 1920s financial crisis. So they made money that was exchangeable for it. I've come across a few, myself.
Calling it "early French coin" is nowhere near accurate though, since East Francia would be "early France."

25:15 Spanish Autonomous Region circulating commemoratives are neat. I've gotten a fair few already for different regions.
