iPhone 7 launch leaves some fans disappointed (CNET Update)

Apple stores didn't have iPhone 7 Plus models on launch day. Meanwhile, Samsung promises to ship out fixed Note 7 phones by September 21.

If you wait two weeks outside of the comfort of your home in front of a store for a product that isn't a necessity, you have some mental issues that need to be addressed.

Note 7 Owners who stayed with samsung, All I have to say is that we finally made it though this recall. I am excited for the Note 7 "Relaunch" on September 21st.

They weren't disappointed they didn't get the larger model they wanted.
They were disappointed there wasn't a big line of people to make them feel special for buying it.

Anybody who gets "dissapointed" because they assumed they would just get one because they waited an embarrassing amount of time in front of a store for a phone deserves to feel salty. The whole point to Pre-orders was to mitigate people standing outside stores and possibly brewing violence. They even provided time slots for pick-up pre-orders. I waited like 10 in front of a Gamestop when I was in high school for CoD Black Ops 2....never again. It was kind of cool to get the game first, but it wasn't worth wasting a whole day away. Anyone who sits in front of a store for two weeks has some serious issues.

I can tell you that this short supply thing was done on purpose to make everyone believe that people cannot resist it. It just creates the idea that it is successful. Diehard fans will buy it whatever Apple does, end of story, but informed customers won't make the mistake of jumping to Apple's ship!

I am a big apple fan but who the hell wait for a phone for a few hours, let alone a couple days? These people must not have anything to do with their lives. I am glad they are disappointed. Will they learn from this, though?

iPhone 7 and 7+ are no match for the last generation of Samsung's S7 and Note 7. Android is the operating system of 85% of all smartphones and I think this will only rise from now on.

they're not giving us replacements, middle East store are saying the loaner phones will be here on Tuesday! if that's true then when are the replacement coming?

In the UK they already replaced my note 7 but there is no S sticker on it and it looks exactly the same

Why are people waiting in line for this? For the solid state home button? Maybe the nicer camera? People really can't wait to take pictures at a house party or in a club? I just don't see the draw for this one, it's not that revolutionary imo. This coming from a 6S+ owner. Maybe someone who waited in line and got an iPhone this year can fill me in, please.

Why does it seem like CNET is a few days behind with respect to tech news? The blue sticker was reported a few days ago and have since reported a green battery icon would be the "real" indicator of an updated Note 7. Love the show Bridget!
