How to add a source in Open Broadcaster

Nowadays there are many applications that let you record a video as you use an application or game. This technique can be helpful to create tutorials and other interesting videos. Here are some applications that let you record video:

Open Broadcasting Software (screen capture, also allows live streaming)

After installing Open Broadcaster software it can be difficult to get started. The reason is because no default source is set and it's not intuitively obvious to add a source. This video quickly shows how to enable a source (or multiple).
