Fun Fact: Erin Hunter doesn't even know the exact looks of the cats, you can tell because some books will have a cat like Spottedleaf for example, them you look at another book and shes different, that's why their are so many different versions of the character you look up, know one knows what they really look like

BTW everybody, Sorrelstripe is Cinderheart's daughter and Sorreltail is her mother. People get these cats confused, and Sorreltail is the tortoiseshell.

I don’t know why, but when I just started reading Into the wild I pictured Firestar to be fluffy, like REALLY fluffy. And I pictured Tigerstar to be gray as well. I don’t know what was going on in my head back then.

When I first got a warriors book, it was a field guide. I thought Squirrelflight was a tortoiseshell and misread her name as SquirrelFIGHT. I also thought Yellowfang was cream with a normal muzzle

I always re-read the descriptions of most of the cats in every book. So I guess I always had a pretty accurate image of what the cats look like.. Except Dovewing I now picture her with rainbow eyes pretty much

They always look different from my imagination

There’s always the one cat where they specifically describe them but whenever you picture them in your head they don’t look the way their supposed to despite the specific describing of them

I'd sometimes imagine them as colors that wouldn't even make sense realistically, just because it was easier for my brain to imagine.

For example, Leafpool would always be green in my head, because I read 'Leaf' and went: "Yup, she green!"

I've always imagined them pretty accurately but I always pictured Ravenpaw to have purple eyes

For the longest time, I didn't see the difference between cats who didn't have
tabby in their descriptions versus the cats that did have tabby in their descriptions. And this is probably because of the Graystripe manga series, but I will always see Millie as a light brown tabby with yellow eyes rather than a silver tabby with blue eyes. Especially when Graystripe's Adventure came out (the colorized version of the mangas) and Millie was still a light brown tabby with yellow eyes.

I imagined Cinderpelt as a bright orange cat, and Mothwing as a silver/light gray cat, and yes- Yellowfang to actually be yellow. I also imagined Tigerstar literally looking like an orange tiger

With Firestar, Crowfeather, and Honeyfern honestly both are accurate it’s all in how you interpret what ‘golden tabby’ or ‘dark grey’ means

I was totally convinced that Onestar was pale grey and was traumatized when I found out he was brown

I don’t think I ever imagined the characters different from there canon appearance. Except leaf pool I always imagined she looked like sandstorm

I thought crowfeather always looked like tallstar. Mostly dark gray but with white. I know he's completely gray but I always imagined him like that

I can relate so much with the Mousefur one! I've always known since I read about her for the first time that she is brown, but I've always imagined her as grey. I have no clue why, I just always have, and I can't imagine her to be brown now.
