It takes a dream player to be ranked #1 during the greatest big man era in NBA history. Hakeem the Dream Olajuwon takes the number 1 spot on our list of best NBA centers of the 1990s. He is the only player in NBA history to win NBA MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP in the same year. It happened during 1993-94 season when Olajuwon was at his peak. That year he beat Patrick Ewing and the Knicks in the finals, and next year he dominated David Robinson in the WCF and Shaq in NBA Finals where he swept his 4-0.
