I always liked Sunspot and felt he was an underused character. Especially since he gets his power from the sun like Superman. Then mixing in his big ego! Just seems like there is a lot you can do with that type of character.

The reason for the way his appearance presents himself sounds really cool and makes sense. As dark colors absorb and lighter reflect. If Marvel makes a sequel I hope they change his appearance and do it justice like the Corona spots and him looking like a shadow. I only saw a quick view of him in New Mutants so hopefully he actually looks like how his appearance is explained.
