I love how you can tell that Jenn's family loves sharing Korean culture with Ben because he is so appreciative and respectful and curious about it.

It's so beautiful to see 3 generations of your family celebrating ben's birthday... circle of life... this video has been so heart warming and lovely to watch. Lennon is so cute.
Becoming a mother is something that really scares me for some reason, but seeing you so bravely go through all these changes and seeing all the love that Lennon has brought to your family, I don't feel so scared anymore.
I send you guys love with all my heart <3

Dear Jenn,
As a mother of 2 with little help, I was desperately searching for routine because I feel like it would help me make sense of everything. Order in chaos. In truth, every child is different and they are going through transitions just like you. Every 6 months or so, their routine will change. They will start sleeping longer at night at 6 month old, then God forbid they get sick, and boom, sleep pattern needs to be re-established.
Just take it month-by-month, and read about their developmental milestones is what helps me the most. When they are teething, when they recognize faces and etc. This is the slowest and fastest journey rolled into one. Just enjoy the journey! Thank you for sharing some raw emotions about this phase of your life!

It's so heartwarming as a long-time follower to get to see you grow into this new chapter of your life🤍🤍🤍 (also, as an autistic person myself, I'd say "autistic people" is actually right. People in the community seem to prefer it rather than people "with" autism).

As a teen, these vlogs teach me so much and really normalize motherhood, which is one of my dreams. Thank you for making it so accessible 🥰❤️

I love Ben’s enthusiasm. So refreshing! He’s the best gift receiver!! I wish I could have this family life, but that season of possibility has come and gone. 🥺

Yes. Your routine will change as his needs will change. I will never say "it gets easier"...it gets different. All stages of being a human is a challenge. As more people get involved in his life...schools, actives, etc. there will be a level of social dynamics that will be fantastic and so crappy as well. Social Media...I am so glad I did not grow up with this.

5:55 to answer your question (as a mama of boys, a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old) A routine for us was able to develop when the little ones were able to get on a more steady sleep schedule, when their routine was more predictable. Around 3 months is when it happened for us with our first boy. (don't get me started on finding a schedule when you have 2! haha Still trying to figure that one out) You'll find your groove ;) You're such a good present, self aware, ever growing mama! The journey is part of the fun as hard as it may be! sending love and support for your little fam!

The part of the video when your grandma was describing how she made the shoes made me cry! My great grandmother recently passed away and it breaks me that she won’t be here for when I have kids. But it makes me so happy to see you have so much love and support! That little baby boy is so loved and cared for!!! Thanks for taking us on this journey with u Jenn 🥺🥺🥺🤍

I’ve literally teared up watching you and Ben being so sweet together and the fact Lennon gets to grow up with parents who just genuinely love each other. Xoxo

As a first time mom, I think getting a routine comes with time. As the baby grows each month, each month I brought a few things back into my routine. The 4th trimester is just survival. Thank you for showing us Lennon. Hope you are doing well. Lennon is growing wonderfully. I'm glad you are taking time for yourself, mama!

You’re so lucky to have Ben and your mom. My heart goes out to women who have to do this on their own. I can’t imagine how difficult that could be!

I really relate to what you said about changing as a mother becoming less type A and more flexible. Kids really stretch you out to experience more and experience better in the moment and on the fly, it’s pretty amazing. I’ve grown so much as a human from those everyday challenges to slow down and be free in my day.

I have five kids and I’m just a year out from my fifth baby, but in my early 30s. Rather than routine, I prefer the word rhythm. We have a rhythm to our day, filled with what needs to be done but not a specific time it needs to be done in and that helps us to be flexible, especially with homeschooling and having so many kids/baby. Babies’ needs and schedules change so often in the first year and as I’ve had more children I’m so glad I’ve not forced myself or my baby to follow a strict schedule. We nurse when baby is hungry, we nap when baby is showing signs of tiredness or falls asleep in the carrier, we work around baby’s needs which are all do-able in a baby carrier and they sleep longer, have easier access to breastfeed as I’m getting work done and taking care of other kids. It is easier now as nursing and naps happen less often after a year, it will probably be easier for you once you understand how long Lennon can go between naps to fit things into those periods, even when you’re alone. The sacrifice of certain routines we held previously are WORTH IT for the new rhythms we practice together. SO worth it. It’s that round trip thing you mentioned!

I’m so glad you have your mom to help you and that you’re taking care of yourself so well mentally and physically in the fourth trimester. You prepared well, now enjoy your baby to the fullest as you already are! These days are long but months/years are so very short.
