I agree with everything Gary is saying. Just can’t help but wonder, does the same rules apply for fiat and banks? Specially “how are they using my asset” “Am I getting a fair value?”

Great video Dan, I think people are really starting to understand why the Cardano community is so bullish, it’s the most decentralized blockchain in the industry. The true spirit of Bitcoin is decentralization, and Cardano blockchain is going to lead the next financial system of the future. Slow and steady wins the race.

Great points Rob! I was misguided thinking all my yield on voyager was because they were staking and taking some off the top and I had convenient quick access to my crypto if I needed it. Hard lesson learned, but I’m glad I’ve learned it in a way I will never forget!

ETH's locked up staking has been a red flag for me for a while .. hopefully they can improve this. The we've got your money and we're not sure when you can have it back is not a good look.

Gary is 100% correct, people should finally learn to keep their tokens in hot/hardware wallets and stake on-chain...on exchanges, you are basically lending tokens to the platform, and no one knows dafuq are they doing with your tokens...

Its kinda funny when people are angry at Gary for stopping similar practices that caused the 2008 financial crisis in which was the spawning point of Bitcoin in the first place.. Theres plenty of issues to argue against Gary on, this ain't it. Hold your own coins. Don't trust banks, don't trust exchanges.

Gensler is not the enemy. The Celsius, FTX, Voyager, etc. are. The centralized exchanges are the enemy. They should just be offering 2 services: on-ramp and trade. Period. But they're greedy and now retail pays the price for it 10X.

I don't like Gary for many many many reasons BUT he is right in one major aspect, TRANSPARENCY

I don't like the regulators but I'd rather see regulations around transparency and putting details on the blockchain under regulations than projects having to suck up to a centralised government controlled regulatory entity

The math is easy. Any computer will do. It's just a random ticket in rarely won lottery. Making tickets is the goal. That's done by making tickets faster... not thinking harder. It requires work to win, but no consideration or deep thinking. It's random.
So I say miners: "make random lottery tickets as fast as possible trying to find a rare winner and announce it before someone else does"

Props to Gary Ginsler. He made a tough decision to tell people to hold their cryptos hold their keys. And he just tried his damnest to explain to the middle class investor to not let a centralized exchange hold your digital assets. He is educating us and I can't hate that. Esp as one who lost a bit of BTC to Celsius whitch, btw, thanks for that
