During a recent track day at Silverstone our 330D ran away on its own oil, resulting in an ear bleeding 10,000RPM engine failure.

If you ever wondered what v-tec would sound like on a straight 6 diesel, this is probably the closest you will get!

Had this happen on my 330d but only hit about 7k.. No engine damage. turbo oil seals let go in a bad way. Time for a B.W s360 XD

I was just about the write how slow he was to bang it in to gear and stall it but then I read loads of people saying quick reaction well done, so I don't think I will write that now

Thought the engine has a flap in the induction to prevent this from happening. I know the n47 engine has the feature.
