biggest feature is, the company will force you to get a new phone after a year or two, because either your motherboard or front camera will die after you install their latest update.

Using redmi note 8 for four years + redmi note 11 for 1 year(purchased both for 9999)
My phones survived all software updates perfectly(tbh it gets laggy for few hours after update but then it's fine)
No motherboard issue
No heating issue
UI is fine but bugs come a few times.
Required no repairing till date.

But the overly sized screen is a deal breaker for me in redmi 12 5g

It seems to me that an IR blaster in a phone is a very handy feature now a days when we are having many iot gadgets, bldc fans, etc.

They could've cut the cost on that macro or glass back and gave a ultra wide camera which would be way more practical, also not complaining about amoled since the whole green line shit

I'm using redmi 9 prime from past 2years 8months can't tell how but my phone survied all updates and no issue no lag no nothing even hard ass crazy gaming it's handles everything so far very good

Only missing ultra wide camera 😢 others wise I will consider this. Just missing ultra wide camera which is very useful.

No secondary noise cancellation microphone...That is such a basic thing ! Instead of IR Blaster they should have given it !
