Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion Inner Agent 3 Fight Tutorial

Hey Guys, Watch as Boss gives a detailed guide on how to be the inner agent 3 boss in the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion DLC. This fight is extremely tough and will only be made easier with this guide.

Another tip: Agent 3 will use a splashdown without warning when you almost beat them in phase 5

is it just me or is his (or in my case her) autobombs have 10X range

I got to the last phase on my first attempt but it went downhill from there XD

Tip: be aware of the autobombs, it can splat you even when you got to the next phase, it happend to me, MANY times

I now know that the auto in auto-bomb doesn’t stand for automatic it stands for atomic

Thing to note: If you still can't enter the fight after beating all 80 levels that means you have debt that you need to pay back or there might be a level you didn't complete that you haven't spotted yet.

Things i've noticed:


- On the autobomb phase, if you happen to get too close agent 3 can straight up cancel it out and immediately start firing again.
- For some reason, Agent 3 is usually more aggressive in the inner square compared to the outside.

One thing i noticed during the first round: You can count the blasts while he's airborne to time when he'll land. He always fires six shots.

the simple version
1 - move to the right behind the barrel and snipe agent 3 out of the air
2 - while agent three is down; cover the battlefield as much as you can. When they activate their bubble, swim behind and take them out (aiming is very important here)
3 - chicken auto-bomb launcher. basically, when agent 3 throws them really far, swoop in and take her (him/them) out.
4 - When agent three jumps on to the disk, ink a straight path too them, fill your ink tank to full and throw one bomb quickly followed by another bomb. If you miss, run for cover and try again
5 - use the barrel from the beginning to get around all their splashdowns, the barrel can block all the ink so don't worry, i also highly recommend shooting at the ground at all times during this little dance of fate. TAKE YOUR TIME IN THIS PHASE.

The 3rd and last phase always get me :/

Hey hey ! I got some tips for y’all

-turf constantly. You need it to run away, especially for phase three

-beat phase 4 ASAP. If you wait, you will find she inked a lot of ground. That ground is vital for running away from splashdowns in phase five. I can’t stress this enough.

-the cylinder and rectangle are your best friends. They will shelter you from panic splashdowns, and you can hide behind them and shoot.

-maintain distance in phase 3 and 5. If you are in her face in phase 5, she will splashdown you, and you might not be able to get away. Maintain distance in phase three so you don’t get autombomb swarmed.

And: DONT GIVE UP! I worked hard for three days and I got it! If I can do it, you can too! She is just an AI. She will never improve, but you can and will.
