How To Fade In And Out Video Clips In Clipchamp (And Crossfade 2 Clips)

#clipchamp #videoediting #editvideo in this tutorial i'll show you how to fade in video clip in Microsoft's Clipchamp (an upgrad to Movie Maker) then we'll create a crossfade effect between two clips by overlaying one clip with fade in over another clip with fade out effect. Simply adjust the length of your fade out effect to make your cross fade work exactly the way you want it (between your 2 clips)

The fade out effect is also known as fade to black, if that's what you want to call it.

Thank you so much for this video. I mucked about for 10 minutes trying to use the transitions effects for this... didn't even notice there were controls on the right side!

Is there a way to fade in / out longer?

I wonder if there's a way to apply this same crossfade to a series of transitions between multiple tracks--or is it necessary to manually repeat this fadeout>fadein>overlap tracks process to all in a series? I am working with thousands of MP4s 10-45 seconds in length. I used to APPLY TO ALL CLIPS in Windows MovieMaker, then increase the speed to get an interesting timelapse effect from my own Blink Camera security camera footage.

I'm trying to crossfade songs but I the fade in and out effects aren't working, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I select a song, slide the fade in or out bar but nothing changes 😢 please help!
