Rollers! It's always fun to revisit a game I've covered in the past and ISS Vanguard was certainly one for the books! ISS Vanguard is designed by Michał Oracz, Paweł Samborski, Krzysztof Piskorski, Marcin Świerkot and published by Awaken Realms. In this video we're going to focus on what's changed in prototype 2.0. FYI: Extra info from the designer about my 1/3 the campaign mention

“That's only about 1/3 of the core box campaign - maybe even less, depending on how you count 🙂

To be more precise: one playthrough of the core box will require 10-12 Planetary Explorations. The core box will contain 24 Planetary Explorations - some are required, some optional, and some represent alternative paths, so you won't see them all in one playthrough. This box contains 5 Planetary Explorations, of which 4 are mandatory to progress the campaign. This means that after finishing the content of this box, players will still need a minimum 6-8 Explorations to finish their campaign. That's where '1/3' came from.

As for expansions - the expansion campaigns are completely separate, they have different starts and different stories, and each of them will bring a bunch of new planets.”

"ISS Vanguard is a 1-4 player co-operative, campaign Board Game. It will bring players right into epic Sci-Fi adventure, as they will play as 4 sections (security, recon, science, engineering) onboard the first human ship with the possibility to reach outer space.
Campaign will introduce the unique story written by Krzysztof Piskorski (Tainted Grail) full of hard player choices, twists and branching storylines.

Gameplay is divided into 2 main stages: Ship phase and landing on planets.

During the Ship phase, players will manage their ship (binder with printed sleeves), where every section will have to make gameplay decisions.

Then, you will prepare your crew for landing on the next planet, in search of answers to humanity's biggest questions. Together you will pick lander and customize it with modules, then each section will choose a crew member to take on a mission ( more experienced crew members will have better ranks ), deck-build skills deck, take equipment and choose dices for his character.
The game will come with over 100 different Crew members, each with unique characteristics.

During all phases of the games players will be directed to Log-book, consisting story encounters, often written in the form of action-packed dialogues between the characters."

The game is really shaping up to be something special. I love how streamlined everything is. Very easy to tell what everything is and where stuff goes at a glance. All without having even read any of the rules.

I would be interested in a playthrough of the first 3 scenarios where the rules are introduced, but not beyond that....too many spoilers.
