All wheel drive is worth 10 point to me in the northwest, where the terrain tends to be slippery and hilly. MPG is far more important that drag racing. Even though your point system appears to give weight to rather minor differences, I appreciate the comparison.

Honestly if KIA brings the Carnival in AWD, it’s going to be a market game changer. I like that it’s a minivan but looks like more like an SUV too. I’ve never purchased a Korean car, but I’m really considering it with everything they’re doing.

Went with the Kia Carnival! You won’t be disappointed. Magnificently made!

Comparing a limited FWD Toyota to a carnival SX would have been a closer comparison. AWD is a standalone feature; isolating this comparison to a cost equivalent doesn’t make sense. Also, from what I’ve noticed, the sticker price has very little to do with what you’ll actually pay. . . .

The look of the kia is just awesome! Looks really expensive, modern, cool. The Toyota hasn't really upgraded much as far as looks go. Love the gas mileage, smooth ride, AWD, and sunroof of the Toyota. Love the looks, technology, tires, of the kia. Honestly think they should talk to families with children to get input on the perfect minivan.

I ordered a carnival because I looked at used odyssey’s and siennas they wanted the same price as a brand new Kia. I ordered the SX and it comes with an amazing warranty vs buying a used odyssey with 40k miles on it. I really am not worried about the lack of awd I live in a medium climate and have driven everything from cars to Escalades. I can’t wait for cheaper tires and the fancy inside compared to my suv.. We never use our moon roof even when we had a double with kids and heat pounding on your head they just aren’t that useful for me with kids so ours is usually closed except small gaps in fall and spring so no moonroof is fine. With the shortage it took almost 6 weeks to get it we are supposed to have it soon. First minivan so hopefully I made the right choice. Buying a Kia was weird and a van but I think new is better then used.

It’s hard to dismiss the MPG. Other brands offer more luxury but the Cabot match the MPG offered by the Sienna. We’re buying one because, living in the PNW, traffic would kill our gas mileage.

I've had 1 Toyota and 3 Kia's the Carnival hands down for me, that along with the Telluride are hard to come by, most are pre sold..

I want the hybrid Sienna, and I wish there was a full PEV option. We have a large family and we've owned multiple different minivans--favorite for comfort was the Chevy Venture, but it had a horrible reliability rating. That was exactly my experience. The Mercury Villager felt very cheap--it was small, flimsy, and powerless. The Dodge Caravan wasn't as comfortable as the Venture, but better than the Villager. It worked well--until it didn't. It needed 3 transmissions by the time it hit 150, 000 miles. Finally, we opted for the more expensive Sienna and that's where we've stayed. Reliable, comfortable, adequate power. Now I want to quit paying for gas. I don't ever want to deal with a transmission again. Bring on the EV.

Kia is prettier (to my liking) both exterior and interior.
Utility are about the same.
BUT, i live in Quebec, so AWD is a definitive advantage, and i do 30k mile per year, so fuel economy is also a MAJOR advantage.
Resale value of the Toyota will be a lot better, cuz first it’s a Toyota, AND it’s the only Hybrid AWD currently on the market, so it will be the first one available used in a few years too.
So Sienna was the clear winner for me, but i’d prefer the Carnival look

No AWD on the Carnival is a deal killer for me, totally would have jumped on it.

I'd definitely take the Carnival!

Honestly I wonder how anyone would buy the Sienna considering the Carnival is superior in every other way except possibly fuel economy and AWD on the Toyota. I feel this is a no brainer contest.

Most people I know who have a sun or moon roof end up never using them.
Sun roofs are more a gimmick then a useful feature.
I prefer the extra head room and won’t buy a vehicle with a sun or moon roof because it’s not something I would ever use.

I'm surprised kia didn't make a hybrid model

Hi

Enjoying most of the videos so please keep up the good work. lf l may makie a suggestion about the comparison vidoes, l know it may not be easy but may be you can do something about it.

1.Can you not do a side by side comparison not top and bottom with scores displayed in the corners? lf not the current format is fine.

2. Maybe narrow the blach spaces when doing comparisons, it looks like when you take pictures with a phone and there are those black bars which could be better used to show the cars.

Anyway, thanks for the videos. :Looking forward to more good things from you.

I dont think comparing a hybrid to a traditional is a very good comparison, especially when points are given for mpg.

Honestly if Kia offered AWD on it, I think it would be the winner out of all the minivans.
Although I do hope with the next year of the Carnival they hide the rear door track.
