Leaving Egypt〚 *Who is God's Firstborn?* 〛Pentateuch in Perspective

In Shemoth (Exodus 1:1–6:1), the theme of names takes center stage. Why are some people named and others left unnamed? Are certain names anachronistic, and what do they reveal about the story’s origins? We’ll also explore the introduction of God’s name, its significance, and the intriguing mention of someone called God’s "firstborn son." Don’t miss this fascinating dive into the opening chapters of Exodus.

I think that scripture can have non-literal interpretations, and I think your emphasis on God's son being Israel proves this. Otherwise these passages, literally interpreted, would only apply to Jacob/Israel, or it should read sonS and/or daughters and/or children. As if it's just in the singular as the literal interpretation is, one couldn't even apply it to the nation of Israel
