I really had to put pressure on my Mother to make a will. She is 82 years old and keeps saying she will live to 100 so there is no rush. I finally got her to make a will. She is leaving my 2 daughters 1/2 million each and my brother and I around 1 million each after her house gets sold. Not bad for a teacher and my late Father an engineer. I am a Gen Xer and my daughters are millennials

I disagree with this completely—my sister and I already had our mom pass away. Our father is in a nursing home that’s garnished his SS and placed property liens. So we’re getting zero inheritance, probably just more debt when our dad expires.

Pretty much everyone I know are in similar boats because Elderly healthcare costs are insane. I suspect 33%-50% of Boomer parent’s children aren’t going to get all this wealth, it will transfer to Corporations.
