Ratan Naval Tata, the former Tata Group chairman who transformed a staid group into India's largest and most influential conglomerate with a string of eye-catching deals, has died. He was 86. Tata, who was chairman of the Salt to Software group for more than two decades, breathed his last at south Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at 11.30 pm on Wednesday, October 9. A Padma Vibhushan recipient, Tata, was educated at Cornell University and worked on the shop floor at the family-run group after returning to India in 1962. He became chairman of Tata Industries a decade later and in 1991 took over as the chairman of the Tata Group from his uncle, JRD, who had been in charge for more than half a century.

Ratan Tata has shown the world how to live life so that it will remain in our hearts forever. Very tough to live like he did... Achieving success and wealth and yet not showing off, living simple life with high ideals.

This video is very good to listen to. Mr Rajdeep Sardesai has indeed done well in bringing out the views of eminent persons, who were associated with the late iconic industrialist Shri Ratan Tata ji. Tatas are really role models for the young Indians.

Came to check if this 10 Janpath slave can give his shraddhanjali without mentioning BJP, Modi..saw the clip opens with Pappu and his befuddled team crying over the results. Rajdeep you are the pits of journalism. Why does Indua Today go on about some "Gold standard of journalism"?
