The latest "Watchdives Vintage 50-Fathoms wd50fk" is a new offering that is 1mm smaller in diameter, k1 mineral glass and a lug to lug of only 48 for smaller wrists. Also gone is the "Exploration Road" that is replaced by 300 meter depth notice. I like hesalite, mineral and sapphire glass just fine. Also the lug width is 19mm that isn't a deal-breaker. Still bead blasted and only a small shield below the 12 with no Watchdives script. Very clean and legible dial. Right now it's only $84USD shipped. For around $20USD more you get the matte ceramic bezel insert and the famous printed round moisture breech indicator. The bezel edge is still the scalloped offering. Also an upgrade to the sapphire glass with AR on the inside. It says $99 but $20 comes off automatically at checkout. ✌️

As you know I'm a huge Fifty Fathoms fan unfortunately there out of my price range. As you also know im not a homage fan but this one i liked. I might get the Swatch & Blancpain version at some point there's no Swatch store anywhere near me . As far as the watch goes you can't beat it for the price. Its now got a bigger crown than version 1, I note. The smaller crown is accurate to the original aqua Lung but a lot of people said they didnt like it, it looks like Thorn listened.

I still would prefer the Spinnaker Fleuss when it comes to an Blancpain 50 fathoms hommage. At least you can see the movement on the back and you have a flat sapphire and a date complication. You also can chose between different dial colors.

I bought the Addiesdive ''Captain Willard '' and i've never been more surprised by a knock-off!
Why am I impressed? First of all even as a retired commercial diver I will never dive to 660 ft, so that's covered, the look of the watch is indistinguishable from the original Seiko except the brand, and it hasn't lost a second since I bought it. Plus the ''lume'' is great.
$99 bucks on ebay, and it's my everyday watch.
*I own a Seiko turtle, and Benrus issued military watch, and neither one holds its' brightness like the Addiesdive. Seriously, the Addiesdive is better in the dark, over time.
*I own an MWC Tritium watch that of course remains glowing 24/7 but that was a $500 purchase, and it doesn't look as good as the Addiesdive.
I never thought I'd like a knock-off so much.

You might be interested in looking at the Watchdives 50 fathoms. I think it's the best of the homages. It's available with or without sapphire and is water resistant to 300 m.

I purchased the same watch from Thorn but the crown on my watch is smaller. It's much harder to grasp the crown when winding and setting the watch. The upside is that there's no large crown digging into my wrist. Why there's a difference in size I have no idea...
