This works to change Colab python version from 3.10 to 3.11!! Tested in Nov 2024 (appears the conda env gets exited when the cell finishes executing)

I needed to install a package that needs python 3.11, but initially I was not able to install and use python 3.11 on Colab. I tried searching on many different forums, stackoverflow, etc but could not find a way to change python version on Colab that actually works.

I gave this one a try and it worked! Thank you!!

It works, but the rest of the notebook will be with the default version of python on colab. How can I make the whole notebook use python 3.6?

like i got my python 3.7 version and packages are imported from python version 3.10
