It would have taken more time but if you had placed the larger rocks on the outside and filled the middle with the smaller rocks it would look nicer. Also those smaller rocks on the outside will eventually fall out leaving empty spaces.

Idea, place wood panels around the wall then mix up secure set foam and pour into the rocks the foam will expand filling all the voids then trim off excess foam then cover with concrete or concrete canvas. Its a very neat way to build i bet an underground bug out bunker could be built very easy using this concept. 😊

Decorative rocks to the front and back fill with rubble and old bricks.Its cheaper that way. Why pay to fill a full cage with decorative rocks that you can't see.

what is that black sheet thing between your gabion and the soil? I am doing one for my house for a raised flower bed, but the soil will come out between the rocks. :) thanks

I try construct a wall in my house with a gabion, but in only one basket.
Between two columns I fixed a mesh (2mm) and builded a "wall" of 3000x1800x150 mm, but while I was filled the structure, it's increase the width...
Now I need pull out all stones and start again...
But, How is the best way?
I think make "prisms" (baskets) of 1 x 0.60 x 0.10 m for example and then assemble them, with 9 of them would have my wall of 3 x 1.80 x 0.10 are you think is it possibel? With that measure the wire will not give way and the stones will be hold? The wire I bought is 2mm... Any ideas are appreciated!

Do you need to have a drain installed like you have? What if I just direct a single drain to an existing french drain?

What kinds of rocks did you use? Most gabions I see are filled with limeston rip-rap. This looks a lot nicer.

These are low quality, because as you see the metal is making curves from the weight of the stones.
