About EA Skate 1:
EA Skate is a skateboarding video game for Xbox 360, Xbox One (Backwards Compatible), PlayStation 3 and mobile phones. It was developed by EA Black Box and released in 2007. Skate is the closest thing to skateboarding without actually putting your feet on a board, delivering an authentic boarding mecca like no other videogame. Skaters don't follow rules, they can choose how they want to progress through the game. Open progression allows gamers to skate how they want to skate.
Become famous and generating mainstream hype or go the infamous route. Create your own style and personality with animation and physics that give you the freedom to decide how your skater looks, feels and rides. Get creative as you develop your own tricks and string them together to create lines.

I might’ve said this once, but I’ll say it again, Skate 1 is the 🐐. I had Skate 2 ahead of it for a bit, till I replayed both, n realized Skate 1 was better. To this day the episode of Rob & Big, when they go to the EA Studio to do motion capture for the game, lives rent free. I can still hear Rob asking Big, “R u ready to b immortalized in a video game, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin.?” Big replies back saying, “Hell yeah.” 👏🐐

this game was so ahead of it’s time and we had no idea. the fluidity of it is still better than all the other Skate games. just beautiful

I remember being in the 4th grade and telling my mom to buy me a Tony hawk skate game and instead she brought me this game and had no idea about it but I’m so glad she did

OG Skate was absolutely perfect. The skating, animation, discoverability of the city, the community. Unfortunately they went downhill from there probably pressured by the publisher.

I think it is just me but I played this a few weeks ago and I legit can't get my brain to do tricks in a game I played for 14yrs! I was laughing at myself so hard not being able to ollie.. SXL and Session using triggers has rewired my brain. Well done for being so fluid in every Skating game NS!

I enjoyed hearing you say you took a break. Just post when you can and don't let other peoples opinions define what you play, you can only control what you enjoy, if people don't like it then that is their loss imho.

I think the more confident you are in having fun in YOUR vids, the more people will watch. At the end of it all when you no longer make YT vids, it only matter that you had fun making the vids and hopefully made a little bit of money. I played through this one a while back on an xbox one. The game runs at 60fps on there. Still a fun game when you're on a nostalgia trip

For me Skate 2 is the best game because there are more grabs, bonelesses and other tricks but graphic in Skate 1 is more realistic …

I would have been so happy if EA just remastered this and added some quality of life features the way THPS did with the recent THPS 1+2. Imagine this with Skate 2 and better graphics and frame rate. Gold. The new Skate with parkour and floating objects just isn't for me.

Really good game! I think that the main downside of Skate 1 is that you have to pop out of slides to be able to turn 90 degrees in most cases.

Skate PAVED the way for games like skater xl and session if skate never happened then session or skater xl NEVER would have been created 🤷🏾‍♂️ especially the whole scheme of using your analog sticks as the skaters feet
