Makes me so happy that Green Day is still rocking out. I was 10 years old when I first heard “When I Come Around” and I was instantly hooked, they were the first band that I really got into. My dad bought me “Dookie” and I remember it was on a blue cassette. I had a Sony Walkman and I would pop that thing in and lay on my trampoline in the backyard and listen to the whole album start to finish. I don’t how many times I did that but it was a lot. :)

I’d still be there. Tre is a beast on those drums. His time keeping is amazing and added to Mike’s bass playing it becomes a match made in rhythm section heaven. Billy Joe’s understated playing just makes these three musicians a phenomenal force and one of the tightest trios of all time.
Jason White has been a guitarist that from the off was seamlessly able to drop right into the band during live performances. He has although adding to their number, never taken anything away from their style.
Massively underrated as musicians.
