whats the difference between bass oboe and english horn? and are the fingerings of bass oboe the same as normal oboe?

For a second I thought you were referring to an English horn as a bass oboe, and then I thought there's no way because an English horn is more of a Tenor oboe

You should have at least taken a minute to describe the subtle differences in timbre between the bass oboe and the bassoon - now you've left the public possibly thinking the bassoon superfluous.
