Hey guys!!!! I figured it out!!!! Go through with everything he had on here but with one step changed at the end. Instead of selecting the tone ls through the watch, go to your watch settings in the app on your phone and go to ringtone/notification sounds and check each tone until you find your custom sound. It will NOT have the correct name.

Just like others on here, due to an update, this method doesn't work anymore. I can upload the sounds to the phone but they don't appear as options for notifications and ringtones. I too had the Power Ranerr communicator as my notifications sound.

I wanted to know what app or website u use to download your ringetones to you're phone . Because I try the method you did to put music on my watch and it's saying file not supported but when I try on m my phone it works. Or maybe I did something wrong .

Hey! I just got myself the Samsung Watch 5 pro. I did everything in the video and even followed some advice in the comments like checking the default ringtones and notification sounds to see if it was there but, unfortunately I had no luck at all! Is this no longer a thing or is there a new way around it?

Thank you very much for the informative video. It took a couple of tries, but the main importance of the ringtone to work is to shut down the watch and restart it! It will work!!

Just got the Update for my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. In doing so my previous Custom Ringtone was Deleted automatically .
A review of your video refreshed my mind with regards to the steps involved in getting my ringtone back. It was easier to follow than the previous directions I used ( but couldn't find easily ).at the time.
Unfortunately although both Visual/Verbal and Written were identical; I could Not reinstall my Custom Ringtone.
While ;Samsung excels in Updating the Apps and Custominization of their phones; it would be nice if they made the Custom/Unique sounds more ( & easily ) available to their watches. This would especially come in handy when using the LTE Version as the phone is often not needed or being used .

I went through each default sound on the watch 4 and all mine still has the default names but it's my custom songs and notification that are playing.
So in short it's still their just the names won't appear you just need to go through each one till you hear the custom one you uploaded play

My watch just says no application can open this file type. Its mp3 ??? Does it need to be a different format?

Great video however not working for me :( I get the file over and copy to the correct folders but just showing on watch with in audio settings

Just as a note, samsung just updated their watch firmware pretty heavily and this doesnt seem to work anymore :(

Make yesterday last update on my watch. After the update notification sound it's gone and don't work anymore.

Real bummer, like others have comment on. Your process worked flawlessly up until just yesterday with an update. Now my GW5P only plays Samsung's lame notifications and ringtones. I truly hope there is a workaround or a specific file extension one can find for compatibility!!

Unfortunately this method no longer works...wish there was another way...idk samsung would take it away...if we want custom tones on our phone wouldn't we also want it on other devices 😡
