Thanks to Voodoo Ride for making Build Biology possible!

Welcome back to Build Biology - that show where we dive headfirst underneath every piece of sheet metal, fiberglass, carbon fiber, aluminum and steel on everything from racecars to home-brew specials. But today, we’re maxing out the space in the Donut Garage with our dude Ryan Anderson and his Monster Jam monster truck, Son-uva Digger. Over 11,000lbs, with 1,400hp, 30” of travel, parts from a crane, mega reduced planetary gear ratios, and more. We’ve seen these things shredding since we were all too young to drive, and now we can finally see how it all works.

I respect how much this driver can tell you about his vehicle and the engineering end

I've met this guy on vacation once with my kids, and honestly to be a famous person hes so humble and will talk to you like ur his bestfriend, he picked my kid up and walked him into the shop and was showing him around which was awesome.. strongly recommended to go out and visit the shop and gift shop and take the ride in the back of the monster van around the little track they have setup it was pretty sweet yet still felt like chilling with your buddy's at home

I really enjoyed this overview on all the hardware and Ryan Anderson seems like the most down to earth dude ever

So we're just going to gloss over him saying they have 90 motors. Lol

Loved the in depth dive of this build bio. Also, very cool that he brought extra parts as a "here I can show you want it looks like", instead of just describing it.

Dude Ryan could of just been “born into” and rode coat tails of his father. But he didn’t. He took it to the next level and this is what I respect most about him. That and family values. He took perfection and made it more perfecter ... gotta love the Anderson’s and all muh diggers

One of the best episodes in a long time, lots of good questions and Ryan has the knowledge to answer them, not only that but he does go into interesting details and takes time to explain everything. please more of these!

This is the coolest video I’ve seen during quarantine. Grave digger was my childhood and it’s awesome to hear some history behind it.

It’s amazing growing up and knowing the Andersons as a kid and watching my dad, Paul Cohen, drive and build chassis and innovate the sport. Quite an amazing childhood.
