🎵 Vocal Coach Reacts | Sierra Ferrell - Lighthouse | Vocal & Musical Analysis

Welcome to New Music Tuesday! 🎉 Today, I’m diving into an enchanting live performance by the incredibly talented Sierra Ferrell. Recommended by my patrons and students alike, her song "Lighthouse" brings a beautiful blend of folk, Americana, and country, with a raw, soulful twist that feels both nostalgic and modern. 🌟

In this video, I’ll be exploring:
✨ The authentic, stripped-back style of Sierra’s live performance—just her, a guitar, and pure emotion.
🎤 Her unique vocal technique, using subtle nuances like vocal fry, scoops, and dynamic shifts that add a gritty, heartfelt vibe to the song.
📝 The simple yet powerful storytelling structure of "Lighthouse," drawing on classic folk and country influences.
🪗 Musical influences that connect to Irish folk and traditional country roots, creating a sound that’s familiar yet refreshingly new.
🎶 How her vocal dynamics take us on a journey of hope, introspection, and raw emotion.

Sierra’s style is beautifully authentic, with a sound that’s uniquely her own. We’ll break down the vocal techniques and musical choices that make "Lighthouse" such a standout track. Plus, stay tuned to hear about my own album, Fable, which tells a story of "darkness into light," inspired by my Celtic heritage. 🌙✨

I discovered this artist just this summer and am absolutely in love with her music. 22nd is my birthday and I cannot wait to hear your analysis. Amazing, thank you.

She is wonderful. I paused the video to check out a few more songs of hers and I'm already a fan. Thanks for making me aware of her. I've recently noticed a handful of artists who are leaning into a classic country sound and giving it a modern spin. I really hope that trend continues.

She extensively busked, hear there and everywhere. Watched her busk in New Orleans a few times.

Beth Roars, this is old me apologizing for clobbering your "chat" - don't know the customs there, sry. 'nuff 'bout me. Ime the best "Lighthouse" has Nate Leath and Audrey MacAlpine singing harmony - notably! a capella under the later "could you-oo be the, could you be" section. I look forward to more reaction videos from you :-) I couldn't find a way to contradict your "Takes" even tho' I'm old and crabby.
