70 years ago just a couple of years after the end of the war, we had a street party.
We had on our Sunday best, sang songs, and ate food the likes we had never seen before.
We were all poor in our street, in our town really (Birkenhead), the food was sandwiches, homemade cakes, pies, jellies, blancmange, and trifles.
There were British flags and red white and blue balloons everywhere, and as the Queen was crowned we waved and waved and waved.
Interestingly, none of us had ever seen the Queen, nor could we see the Coronation, there were no televisions, and we listened to the radio. The pictures of their majesties were handed around the next day, and the ladies of our street ooohed and ahhed the children saw princes and princesses
A fairy tale in a very difficult time for our country.
Our Queen served us well as did Philip.
Our new King will also serve well with his Queen.
We should not follow the divide and conquer of the horrors of Marxism
God save the king and Queen and the people of the British Isles.

River, I'm 70 and came to England 50 years ago because my husband was English, many decades ago when I received my British Citizenship I was so very proud and felt more protective towards this most Beautiful country who so many ungrateful people disparage. I love the Royal Family and everything they stand for hence I despise H&M for their vile nonsense they continually spew. Thank you SO much River for informing people of the fragile state of the world. I've been, for the past decade or so, trying to spread the word about the risk of our losing our freedoms. I'm Canadian. My father landed in Juno Beach in WWII. He met my mother, a British girl, in London, and married her. My ties to England are close. I'm broken-hearted that everything we've grown to love is TRULY at risk. But so many people still don't understand this. It breaks my heart that my parents and their generation put everything on the line so that we can be free. And, we're letting it be chucked away.

FYI, my mother, working as an office clerk in the war effort had her offices bombed (while she and her co-workers slept in the Tube). Her offices were moved to Kensington Palace. She met the Queen Mom. AND, she was there when the whisperings about "secret visitors" were on the property .... that was Edward and Wallace. She absconded with a few black and white 8x10's taken that day that she found in the garbage. :)

Again, thank you for opening some eyes as to where we are in the Western World. I hope many of your viewers took note. I'd hate to think of millions of people, in a few year's time (if even that long) wake up one day and say "how did this happen?". Well, it happened while you didn't listen, and didn't care. If people were listening all along, they would vote appropriately, they would protest, they would spread the word. The evil creeping in would have a tougher time if so many of us were not blind.

The Coronation invitation is exquisite! So fresh, colourful and relevant. I'm thrilled about the Pages too, especially for Camilla! God knows she deserves every good thing that's coming to her. Princess Anne is looking more like her mother as she gets older. And Sophie's smile is so beautiful and natural - lighting up any event. Rather like your fresh lime headband River. It amazes me how you always seem to have just the right outfit and/or bling for every occasion. Love your broadcasts and wholeheartedly agree with your perspective on preservation of the anglosphere. We should be proud to celebrate the wonderful evolution of our culture as much as the next group and not be shamed at every opportunity. Many left leaning centrists have had enough of the "nonsense on stilts" as you say. The Princess Royal is also a Patron of the MND association and my late husband and I got to meet and speak with her at the Ice Bucket celebration event in 2015 in London. He loved the Royal family, especially Princess Anne as he loved horses too, and he was determined to stand up when we spoke with her, she was very kind and interested and we were both very honoured to have been invited .
