I dunno some people say take a 3 season bag. Others stay take a 4 season bag rated down to minus 10 degrees C as a minimum. Crazy stuff

Great advices and thank you for your comments also regarding the weight limits. A lot of videos are not taking in consideration this. The additional comments from K was also helpful for me. Thanks guys.

Very good comments. Getting ready to fly out tomorrow for EBC trek, and have adjusted items due to your presentation. I will ditto an earlier comment that it was good to hear you talk about the weight allowed on the flight to Lukla. Again, thanks for tips. Very well done!!

I appreciate your attention to hygiene! Showering, changing your inner layers and socks daily seemed like a challenge from other YouTube videos about EBC.

Very informative. Thank you!

I would only wash my clothes only if necessary. I only have 3 days of clothing for changing + 1 set of clothing that I would be wearing. Lihhtweight microfiber fabric materials are really good to prevent frequent washing.

Nice helpful video. Crisp and clear explanation. Just the right items and nicely organized. The list in description is also very helpful. At 12:40 you mention about the exped duffel bag. It's a nice convenient bag to have. Would you have an amazon link to it by any chance. Thanks

Reasonably good presentation. Some thoughts:
- Too many base layers (underwear & short sleeve T-shirts). Absolutely no need to have fresh base layer every single day. I have 2 merino T-shirts and 2 long sleeve merino shirts of different weight (160 and 260) and manage a trek of unlimited length with 3 pairs of sports boxers. You did not mention merino...
- Boots: even lighter shoes are good enough, I have been to EBC/Khumbu 3 times (out of 5) with trail runners or old joggers even. Usually there is no snow and the trails are reasonably good.
- Never needed shell pants, take light quilted pants instead for the cold nights.
- Merino long johns if not for hiking then for sleeping (and long sleeve shirt) at least at the higher lodges. You do mention those in passing.
- Wide brimmed hat against the sun, or you will burn your earlobes and nose.
- Lodges have pillows, a pillowcase would be more useful.
Free tip: there is a much more impressive high trail up via Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche which should be used on the way up, return via Tengboche. Why walk the same trail twice when there is a better alternative?

I was thinking about buying everything in Kathmandu before the trek. Would it be cheaper there then it is in australia? Will i be able to get everything or should i buy some stuff early?

Are you absolutely out of your mind? Your literally recommending that people take 9 SHIRTS with them? Are you just a city slicking germaphobe, or have you never heard of merino before? Or, are you just trying to market to people that are city slickers or germaphobes? As someone who has thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail and a number of other even longer distance hikes I question your experience here. I really think that you need to talk to the older gentlemen who does the video for your Annapurna Circuit hike in Nepal that does a WAY better job of recommending things to people then you do. I'm sorry, but 9 SHIRTS is just ridiculously unnecessary. I literally spent over 6 months on the Appalachian Trail with just 1 technical base layer, and 1 merino t-shirt.
