AN AMD VICTORY?! Ryzen 9800X3D FULL SPECS & Benchmarks LEAK

YET MORE Ryzen 9800X3D leaks today, as the latest leaked benchmarks and hardware specs for the Zen 5 X3D CPU continue to point towards an AMD victory! Join us as we dive into everything leaked for the Ryzen 9800X3D, which includes a delidded image with some details on the next gen of AMD's VCache, the FULL specifications of the Zen 5 V-Cache processor, and TWO new performance benchmarks which give us yet more insights into just how impressive the as yet unannounced Ryzen 9000X3D chip is.

But of course, the real question surrounding the next gen of V-Cache has yet to be answered: just how much will it cost?

And to finish things off, we have a small update for the RTX 50 laptop GPUs.

Makes perfect sense to have the cache at the bottom as cache doesn't get anyway near as hot as the cores. Better than having the heat bleed through to the cache to the heat spreader.

I'm more excited about the big clockspeed and productivity performance boost than just gaming. The 9800X3D will be more well rounded for all tasks.

All I care about, is whether the 9950X3D will have v-cache on both CCDs. That just might make me upgrade from my 7950x which I bought for dev work

The PC components industry desperately needs more competition. CPUs, GPUs, SSDs, etc etc

9800x3d will be 8-10% faster. AMD continues to dominate. We deaperately need an alderlake 2.

Vcache on bottom should also means that the filler silicon to get consistent Z height will also be on bottom so the core chiplet would basically be the same as a non-Vcache part which would be GREAT!

Vcache still has to dissipate heat, but as Vcache isn't something pumping the clock constantly or in many cases other than games isn't needed it means most the transistors aren't switching on and off which is what generates most of the heat (actual usage of the transistors, not just having power enabled to allow the transistor to transfer a signal).

So much better design if this is the case. Because Vcache DOES generate heat under usage then I would imagine the cores would have to slow down a LITTLE, not much as it's propagating that heat. So maybe a 100 - 300 MHz slowdown, which is still much better than other Vcache parts.

Other improvements could be better connections between the die so data could be moved faster from Vcache to cores which would also help apps that need the cache.

I'd consider buying it but it still has the weakness of Zen 4/5, which is a CPU-chipset link of 8GB/s which month by month is more of a liability. Zen 6 should double that speed just like Intel did 3 generations ago with their CPU lineup.

Frankly I think that link should already be at 32GB/s (8 PCIe gen5 lanes), which would allow MB makers to produce HEDT like MBs with a desktop CPU. Most MBs waste 4 PCIe lanes off of Zen 4/5 which can be for a 2nd NVMe off the CPU, because they don't have a 2nd NVMe off the CPU since these CPUs have 28 PCIe lanes, not 24 as did Zen 3.

This would also give SO much capability to X86-64 that ARM processors that Mickeysoft is trying to get you to get suckered into and locking you into an ecosystem the same way Apple does isn't desirable.

So once AMD can figure out that MBs need to move into the 2020s and allow for a lot more conductivity via the MB I'll upgrade from Zen 3.

Everyone loses, only TSMC won, and still winning.

I wish they'd dominate the GPU market as well. I want a beast GPU for path tracing and ray tracing that is as good or better than the 5090

Based AMD keeps winning. F*ck Intel. I wish I had an AMD processor, I got i5-13600K which serves me well for gaming, when this thing dies or can't handle newer games anymore i'm getting X3D AMD Ryzen CPU.

Correction for 4:24, Ryzen Zen 4's 2 CU RDNA 2 iGPU supports DirectX12_2 Ultimate, not just DirectX12_1.

I'll be getting a 7800x3d bundle for myself at microcenter this holiday season.

Intel needs to get their crap together. It’s never good for the consumers when one company has a hold on a part of the market.

High Yield made a video on good theory. Multi-level stacked cache that are thinner, so they overlap the core area part less, so that the heat is further away from the cache

Unfortunately, most people don't really need and/or can't afford a 600€ chip. Even the 7800X3D for 450 is already plenty expensive.
The only people who realistically need those chips are people with 7900XTX, 4080'S or 4090's, and if they can afford those cards, they can afford the chips. Anyone with a 7800XT / 4070 and below can easily make do with a <300€ chip.
It's just another product for the top 3%. My hype levels will _barely_ rise if I can't afford it to begin with 😂

I'm a desktop gal myself. I never feel like I'm ready to do serious work or play unless I'm at my desk rig, mechanical kb, big 4k, etc.
But a 13" 2in1 touchscreen folding laptop is kinda nice to have. Great if there's a power outage, or for use in bed, or 101 other things which are just better suited to laptops or tablets. Incredibly useful when/if you travel.

As AMD shareholder: good thing there are no 7800x3d for 350$ to spoil the launch.😊
As PCMR in need of a new PC: why no more cheap 7800x3d? 😢

Did anyone see the cache on the 9900x3d?
It's way above 100mb, why noone talking about that?
Imagine if they made the 9900x3d to actually work (not like the 7900x3d underperforming the 7800x3d).

yea man im either going for the highest cores or wait till next gen

I'm a server rack gamer.
My gaming room has nothing but peripherals, monitor and speakers.
I would honestly be excited if the 3D V-Cache technology showed up on a Threadripper.
4-Channels of memory and 3D V-Cache would be a monster!
