FurReal Friends Pax, My Poopin' Pup review play

My four year old was entertained for hours with this poopin fartin dog. She loved the gross sounds that it made and loved feeding it the little pellets and making it go poo poo afterward. The basic concept is simple. It eats the pellets and then you retract the leash, forcing it to crouch on its hind legs and expel the "food". It makes a variety of different fart sounds, whines, barks, and growls to keep it interesting each time it poops. My girl thought this was hilarious. It comes with a leash that can be shortened to a lower height for table-top play. The leash is very stiff, not like a real leash, so that you can use it to force the dog backward to poop. The dog doesn't walk either. It just rolls like some futuristic hover dog. My daughter doesn't seem to mind this though, she just loved the poopin. The only thing my daughter had trouble with occasionally was getting the pellet completely into its mouth. It has to be forced down a little past the trigger mechanism in its throat. It's not hard to do, but there was an initial learning curve. She's using it like a pro now. It comes with 9 pieces that look like dog food. They're very small so make sure if you have younger siblings they don't get a hold of the pieces. My daughter likes to play even without the food pieces and just listen to the beautiful variety of farts and whines. Great simple toy. Anything that can keep my 4 year old's attention for an entire afternoon with minimal supervision and assistance is a great find.
