Glad to see two things, 1, that your "claws" are the same as mine, and 2, that I'm not the only one that anchors his pinky on the ashtray bridge! I'm 66, and have been playing Fender Teles for over 50 years! I'm past doing my own work on guitars, (thanks to 5 strokes)! The microphonic pickup, gives me a cause for thought!

I bought the Black Paisley around the same time as you did and also had a fake Wilkenson PUP issue. It was more than a little microphonic and gain on the bridge was not happening. I switched them out, as Thomann has also done since, and really enjoy this guitar. I like the neck feel/size and the bridge on this particular guitar. Good inexpensive stuff from Harley Benton.

Comes with Roswell pickups these days. Roswell tele pickups are among my favourites among both cheaper and more expensive ones out there. A certain upgrade.

If the bridge pu is microphonic, dont need to swap it, just dip it in wax.

Do you collect Harley Benton Telecasters? I have just bought a H B TE-62cc it has Roswell pickups, they seem good.

you dont need a new pickup you just need to make sure the metal plate under it is stuck on with some kind of glue ( patax is good ) I have had this problem many times, even with real fenders luck

REALLY annoying with that huge logo over the whole corner, "This pick up" which I'm pointing to but you can't see it because it's behind the HUGE LOGO! At least the logo fell off half way through! Thanks for posting.

Did you get on to Thomann about that microphonic pu ?
Cheap or not, it should not be faulty.

In a guitar that I could not sent back I would try dipping the pu in beeswax to see if that cured the microphony.

Yes it is a Wilkinson pick up...who ever told you that Wilkinson pick ups were good? Wilkinson pick ups are a piece of shit. The only decent thing wilkinson makes are bridges... that's all. Do you think that if Wilkinson pick ups were good they would come on a Harley Benton. These guitars cost 150 euros. Do you think that they could sell you a guitar for 150 euros with Dimarzio or Seymour Duncan or Lollar pick ups??? No, never, because then the guitar would have to cost at least 600 euros at least and I'm being generous...Wilkinson pick ups are about as bad as they come.
