Since I am half Mexican I loved this movie. This movie did a great job with the Day of the dead and showing the Mexican Culture.

I feel like I was the only one who cried during this movie. Coco really pulled my heart strings.

actually I found Dante was alright. He was the dumb dog, but it wasn't as annoying as Hei Hei, and Dante was actually helping Miguel in the end, he had a reason to be there unlike the chicken that came along by accident

Be glad you didn't see the stupid Frozen short that cane with this film. It was so bad.

The dog is supposed to be silly and brightly affectionate, a good pet to a child, also an extinct species that was useful to the people that roamed the land before the invaders

This movie was honestly ten times better than Book of Life. The backgrounds and soundtrack were breathtaking. When I first went to go see it, I was absolutely awestruck.

Once A Wrinkle in Time comes out, could you possibly do a review on it? I think it looks interesting.

I LOVED Coco!!! I went to watch it with my husband and son. We watched it in Spanish and it was beautifully dubbed. I recognized the voice actors right away. My son loved it so much he sings the songs in the movie. :) My husband enjoyed it so much. He is from Mexico and he respects this movie for how well they represented Mexico. *My parents are from Mexico but I was born in the US* We are just waiting for the dvd release to buy it. I gotta say, I've seen parts of Coco in the English dub. But I felt it didn't fit the movie. I guess it's because I saw it in Spanish. Strider, I enjoyed Dante. Much better than that rooster from Moana. Great video!!! 😆

Coco was easily my favorite movie of 2017. In a year that had the Emoji movie, Coco was a refreshing diamond in the rough for animated movies last year. The audience was packed, I heard a few people crying during the saddest parts of the film, and it was overall an amazing experience. Now I can't wait to go show it to the rest of my family! :)

Come on, Dante wasn't that bad he was adorable.
He pretty much acted like a normal silly dog.

I watched this with my dad in the theatres. He said he found it funny but those tears after leaving the theatres say otherwise....

I think the whole "I hope you die soon" line will be more appreciated in countries that celebrate Dia de Muertos, like Mexico. I'm mexican, born and currently still living in Mexico and one of the things we, as part of our culture, tend to do is "make fun" of the concept of death, and what I mean by this is that we use a lot of what could be considered dark humour when it comes to death. We make silly jokes about it and it's a pretty normal thing to do here. It's not that we are insensible, it's just part of our culture. If you'd like, I would recommend you look up more about Dia de Muertos, it truly is a wonderful and beautiful celebration and it involves a lot of traditions that could maaybe help you appreciate certain aspects of this movie more. I might be doing a poor job at explaining it so if you do some research, that might help. Personally (and a lot of other mexican people agree with me on this) I think this is the very first animated movie that has managed to portray our mexican traditions so well. Also, the whole "family comes first" thing is also very typical of our country, so that plot twist wasn't that surprising to us ;)

If this was actually put in a good year for animation it would still be considered pretty good.

Also Miguel is Marco Diaz

In the beginning, I assumed it'd be like "Book of Life". I still need to go to the cinema to see this lol. I'm glad to see that you've reviewed it, Strosh. Well done :)

I have mixed thoughts on it too. I thought the first half was extremely predictable in cliche, but the second have was so beautiful and amazing that it won me over so badly.
