I’ve known this for quite some time now, and what I’m most sad about is the fact that there is a big possibility that in a few decades after it’s completely gone, there will be people who would start a conspiracy theory saying that the Titanic was never real in the first place..

Unfortunately, it would be very difficult to bring up the wreckage and preserve what’s left because of how long the titanic has been sitting underwater (roughly 100 yrs). The structural shell would fall apart because the metal has been exposed & weakened significantly over the years due to bacteria and overall deterioration. Though, I think the best solution would to hold onto the stories, research, and photography that has been documented since the titanic’s discovery.

I remember reading that after the ship was found they asked the remaining survivors if they wanted to see Titanic raised, and every one asked said no and that the ship is sacred ground like a cemetery.

I think leave it alone, its a literal gravesite where a ton of people lost their lives, it's not fair to disrespect them like that. We have thousands of items from the ship and a whole museum dedicated to the titanic, let the people rest now

My unpopular opinion is that I'm glad that after 100 years, it is deteriorating. It looks like it's home to many creatures. And the story won't go away. The books, movies, and traveling exhibits still go around.
I was at the Lockwood-Matthew's house the other week and the tour guide there said one of the survivors of the titanic came there to recover. It's been over 100 years, we're not forgetting.

The crows nest disappeared because a submarine slammed into it and it fell down the cargo hatch into the abyss of the ship, it wasn’t the deterioration that caused that.
