The fact that we can’t even say the name is truly awful

The woman scratching the man’s face being describes as a terrorist is spot-on.
Any resistance of tyranny is depicted as evil by the tyrants.

Thank you. Genuinely thank you for your denouement. Recently, i have been thinking that the movement has been depoliticised by influencers and other public figures who use gofundmes as a way to please both sides. It is so disheartening to watch as the masses praise these influencers who dont talk about the root problem. I am personally from the land of P and i have family their currently as we speak and i have been watching your videos for a few months now. The statement made was so simple and carried so much weight to it. Great job. Honestly, i am excited to watch another great analysis of another great painting.

I really like this painting because it doesn’t shy away from the reality of the violence, it shows all the blood and gore in awful detail. I like the way the soldiers are depicted as tall and imposing; the women are seemingly helpless against them yet they continue to fight. I see in this painting all the atrocities (past and present) caused by humanity’s greed for money and power which unfortunately has been encouraged by most societies throughout history. I really hope someday we can overcome these incentives and learn to live in peace. But I must confess that, in light of recent events, my hope’s been slowly fading away.

Thanks for this thoughtful video. The image of the woman holding the sword at bay to with her bare hands, biting the hand of her oppressor, is so powerful and brings to mind the incredible bravery of the resistance we've seen these last few months. Whatever form resistance takes, in the face of such horrific violence and atrocity, should be supported without question. Saoirse don Phailistín🔻

I nearly laughed when you said 'had to run away with his family to egypt'. half my direct action donations to palestinians right now are for families escaping to Egypt.

Holy wars are an atrocity.

What a wonderfully smart way to use your voice to call out the atrocities!

This painting is my first experience of hearing a scene being played out solely through its illustrations.

I’ve been to a few art exhibitions & museum recitals, but I’ve never seen a painting and shortly thereafter began hearing the screams & carnage being depicted.

Beautiful but…Ruthless.

Thank you for the lesson.

P.S. The hair-pull taking place behind the older lady’s fight for survival really got to me. I know it’s a much less carnal violence than what’s surrounding it, but the sensation of that specific fury, I just can’t let go of.

I'm a queer atheist who grew up in a conservative religious home, and this work breaks my heart. Everything that has always been happening, the pain and suffering met with an unapologetic eye, it's just so vivid I had to watch this as soon as I saw the notification.

The most powerful art pieces' relevancy echos through the ages. Hopefully in the future, this one will only be relevant as a window looking back through time, instead of at the present.

Stunningly well done, as always. As you have pointed out before, art has always been the message, a shock wave, to replace complacency with a new reality, generally one that is not so comfortable, one that is complex but one that leads to Truth. The nameless action presently taking place has served to reveal the true nature of the state agressor. They 'took the bait' and now have swallowed the hook. Thank you so very much for your work.

I would love to hear your take on The Morning Visitor" (1967) by Dino Buzzati, it is gaining much attention right now on the internet (for the wrong reasons).

I think this is a bad thing to say. I don't mind Palestinians fighting back, but what Hamas does is literally terrorism and they aren't just doing this in self defence or whatever, they literally tried to kill civilians, they raped. They are not to be excused like this.

To make a comparison between someone doing purely self defence and someone killing innocent civilians, even if they are themselves oppressed/whatever, is a bad thing to do imo.

(Unless I misunderstood your point but yeah)
