Perhaps this is an indication that mobile app stores (probably desktop too) should be required to disclose the percentage and amount of each transaction they take for platform fees.

Steam does the same. In Warframe, buying plat via steam is more expensive than buying it via their official website.

Another reason to sub via desktop is that if the streamer you are subbed to quits, your mobile sub will automatically renew even if the streamer deletes their channel. Had this happen to me when a small time streamer quit due to personal reasons and I kept getting charged.

I can understand the platform taking 3% to 5% as a risk + credit fee but 30% is just outrageous

Also PSA these mobile store places do the same for all types of subscriptions, I got court out paying extra for YouTube premium, Spotify, and Disney plus, because I made the subscriptions through my phone on the app, instead of through a web browser.
