It a great news but nothing new for us.  Indeed, Ethiopia had one of the most famed female ruler of all times, Queen Sheba of Ethiopia 1000BC (that is 3000 years ago) and Queen Candace of Ethiopia 30AD and both are recorded in the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible. When the rest of the world was enslaving women, Ethiopian women were mighty and wise rulers. Just 150 years ago Empress Taytu, wife of Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia founded the new capital city Addis Abeba along with her husband which is now the political, economical and diplomatic epicenter and hub of the AU (African union). Empress Taytu worked hard with him during 1896 Battle of Adwa and defeated and crushed the would be colonizer Italy to DUSTS. The first victory of an African nation against European nation since Hannibal of Carthage (the Annihilator of Rome) which is 2300 years ago. So just like our Ethiopian men, likewise Ethiopian women have always played pivotal roles in our national identity. However, we welcome this historic milestone of the all Ethiopian women flight crew of the EA for it adds one more record. More importantly,  it inspires not just Ethiopian and other African young girls and women but also all girls and women of the world to reach to new frontiers and heights. Long Live Ethiopia!

Notwithstanding my fellow male pilots, I think that female pilots fly better than us. They are more attentive while we are more relaxed, sometimes even too much. They're excellent professionals.
