I believe that it is highly likely that he will run again. Being a candidate shields him (to some extent) from many of his legal problems. By being a presidential candidate, it is easier for him to portray any prosecutor as politically motivated and biased. Even if the prosecutor is trying to act impartially, any misstep could compromise their appearance and perceived credibility.

He doesn't even need to be "in it to win it"... there is a strong incentive to even be just a candidate.

I'll believe consequences exist for him when I see it...

His presidency proved that there is nothing that will keep his supporters from voting for him

Edit: i’ve seen this song and dance before. They’ll just say any allegations are lies or fake news regardless of the evidence.

Could Trump Ever Run? Think a brisk walk would be hard enough for him.

Political experts: "Is a trump 2024 campaign doomed?"

Me: God I hope so

He's literally favourite on the betting market at 20-25% likely to win. I don't know why, I betted against him, but the polls suggest he's still very popular.

As long as he doesn't declare his candidacy, he can use his fundraising for anything he wants. The funds are only restricted once he announces he's running for office. So he will put off declaring as long as possible.

I think it would be funny if he's barred from running, or fails to be chosen by the GOP as their candidate, but then tries to run again anyway as an independant so that he divides votes and screws over the Rebublican's chances.

It baffles me that he can even legally run at this point given his double impeachment

In America you can run for office even if you are in jail. It has happened before

Probably will still run, this man is immune to any consequences

I hope not, but knowing America, they'll give him 4 more years.

The search on Mar-A-Lago WAS NOT A RAID! It was an executed search warrant.

Trump's biggest hurdle isn't whoever will be the Democratic nominee in 2024, Trump's biggest challenge is Candidate Desantis on the primaries. Desantis is gaining on Trump, and also gaining gaining consistently without drop in support. over time he will be a clear frontrunner by the end of next year, right around the primaries.
assuming there will be a debate, it will be a bloodbath, Desantis will run circles around Trump.
I'm worried about candidate Desantis more than I am about candidate Trump, he has all the extreme policies of Trump, yet he is young, sharp and well established both among the core conservatives and Desantis also knows how to dog whistle the fringe right.

Ive just noticed an anglophone quirk- in the US, one runs for office, though it sounds like in the UK, one stands for election. Is that right, or do they stand for office?
