Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up arcade game developed and published by Konami in 1989. It was based on the popular TV series of the same name and features four characters: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, who are all trained in the art of ninjutsu and are tasked with fighting crime in the streets of New York City.

TMNT was a popular game in arcades and was later released on a number of home console platforms, including the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It has since been re-released on modern platforms through digital downloads and compilation collections.

The original TMNT arcade game, released in 1989, featured an intro that showed the turtles jumping out of the shadows and preparing for battle, as well as the song "Turtle Power" by Partners in Kryme.

Overall, the intro variations for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade games and console games were designed to capture the excitement and action of the franchise, and to introduce players to the characters and gameplay elements of the games. The intro variations for the home computer versions of the games were largely based on the original arcade game, with some updates to the graphics and audio.

The 8-bit games: The charm of the NES version and then imagine seeing your Game Boy do that back in the day! Turtles In Time was our _go to_ Turtles game back then 🐢👊🏻

That PS2 conversion was a slap in the face with the sounds bits not being included.

The arcade version is where it's at. The game doesn't feel right without the original theme and soundtrack.

One thing I noted in the description, you state that the song used is Turtle Power by Partners in Kyrme, when it isn’t.
It’s the original 1987 TMNT theme

The NES version of the arcade game was the only one to get close to it with Mikey getting hurt when he leaps onto the rooftop. I dont count the ps2 version since that was the arcade port years later with redubbed sounds/audio and music due to copyright licensing issues which we all know about. That version was from TMNT 2: Battle For the Nexus having the Arcade Game unlockable, this was also for the GC and Xbox. But yeah all the intros are cool for the different games. I love the arcade and nes version of TMNT The Arcade Game the best considering the hardware NES did a damn good job with that port.

i know... Same TMNT "Intro" since it aint the same for all versions, the OG arcade port of NES didn't have the intro. Only the first level cutscene, later Manhattan project would make an intro similar to the arcade one. or the SNES going for turtles in time.
Kudos to the GB version turning the intro into a horror game intro
