Unfortunately, the rules and regulations around foraging are inconsistent and often difficult to find. 😕 I wrote this article to help you find those rules for different public land entities.
In all, we found 3 species of “true” blueberries! We also found 2 other Vaccinium species: deerberry and farkleberry.

Thanks for visiting the canyon! I'm a maintenance worker for LIRI and am so happy to see people like yourself visiting our park and sharing this information with others!

I hardly ever see any channel talk about anything in regards to plant life in Alabama so this is very pleasant.

A gallon per day of berries isn't too bad. I'd be making some preserves!

That’s awesome! I LOVE blueberries! I grew up in NC. There were blueberries that grew in the woods by my house where I lived. None of my neighborhood friends cared for them so I had them all to my self. YAY! So I would lie underneath the bush/tree and eat until I thought I was gonna turn blue! It was good and fun. They were my private little summer splurge. Good times!

Wild blueberries are so much better than store bought blueberries. Last year I took my family camping and we found both low bush and high bush blueberries and made pancakes over the fire for breakfast the next morning. Delicious. Keep up the good work man, you actually taught me about chanterelles on one of your recent videos

Whenever I would go camping with my family, I, my dad, and my brother would go hiking and forage for wild blueberries to use in pancakes when we got back

Elderberries are showing up here a bit late in the season but everything has been green from the rain. Central CA.

"Oh look, wild blueberries" momma bear thought as she swatted the pesky human out of her fave shrubbery.
