So during this part I thought I'd be the nice guy and pick him up and bring him back in the bar...ended up getting run out of town by the law.

If you go back to the Saloon, the Bartendor will talk about that guy who was about to duel you.

Fun fact: When you approach the bartender after the duel, the bartender makes a comment about what happened.
