Keir Starmer is planning a brand new purge. Who’s on the hit list?

Keir Starmer, having purged the left is now pursuing his own MP's that he considers to have brought the party into disrepute...
Right, so honestly if Keir Starmer purges many more people from the party is he going to have much of a party left and who is he purging this time anyway, surely the left have, well left by now save for a few die hards determined not to let Starmer run them out of the party despite in my view, them already having been rendered harmless? So who is it this time if this is a brand new purge? Well having deceived the left to win the Labour leadership, Starmer went to war on them, he’s done that now, so now he turns to those apparently who have brought the party into disrepute, have caused embarrassment and if true, will be an example not just of epic levels of the kind of hypocrisy we’ve come to expect from Keir Starmer now, but could arguably land him in court if he goes about things the wrong way here, because he’s not targeting ordinary members here, this purge is a purge of his own MPs and no I’m not talking about the potential upcoming reshuffle allegedly on the cards when Sue Gray begins work for Starmer and Co on Monday. MPs are public figures, can be quite well known, though not always, certainly know how the Party structures work, but the best known MPs are often the ones who have found themselves embroiled in a spot of bother and it is these MPs that Starmer apparently wants to bin – the ones who might bring the party’s reputation down and apparently there could be up to a dozen of them according to the Murdoch Times, Starmer’s favourite press baron as we know he is by now. So what has prompted this and how is Starmer going to attempt to justify it? Well of course an anonymous Labour source has had a thing or two to say about it, so caveats there for whether it’s believable or not, but being it’s cropped up in Murdoch’s rag behind a paywall at that and Starmer’s lapdog attitude to courting the coffin dodging nutsack lookalike in charge, it’s not likely I don’t think to be a complete non story. Starmer is looking for a positive and the source or sources, bears that out. So what have they said then Damo, get on with it, Well alright, they’ve said: ‘The public rightly expect the highest standards from their MPs.

Miliband and Rayner will be kicked out I reckon. Perhaps Starmer will parachute in a 'high quality' candidate like Nadine Dorries in place of one of them, he loves Tories after all.

He knows he can always replace them with disgruntled Torie MP's who are more than willing to cross the aisle.

I love this guy. He just has the knack of hitting the cultural mood on the head every time. I know it’s not the most strategically placed approach but I am fed up and disappointed by Labour. Can they do a no confidence in Starmer?

We are heading in the same direction as America where there are two main parties and both are right wing .
Say goodbye to progressive politics in the UK despite what politicians say .
Our only saving grace is we still have the Green Party to rely on .

Of the alternative parties, Greens have the most public profile, recognition, track record, appeal, policy manifesto and realistic proposition of electorally challenging Starmer.

It's an interesting and brave thing for Starmer to do.
It very publicly highlights the disparity that Labour members can neither select or deselect who works for them.
Meanwhile Blair and Mandelson still get free passes and keep seats at the top table.

I think Starmer is beginning to believe in his own infallibility, and therefore whatever he decides amounts to an ex cathedra revelation. The problem with taking upon himself such a mantle is that others less inclined to accept his quasi assumption of divine right (as Blair did when excusing himself from all earthly responsibility for the deaths and injuries of British service men and women who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq under his orders) will baulk, and parrot Alastair Campbell's memorable quote - 'We don't do God'. This could very well be an example of overreach - I do hope so.
