For the last ten years everyone's been losing money on property because of inflation. The true rate of inflation (not the government's fiddled figures which don't include the cost of necessities like food, electricity, gas and rent) averages out at 8%. This means that, since 2014, the pound has lost 80% of its value. Over that same period house prices have risen around 30%, meaning properties, in real terms, are now worth 50% less than they were ten years ago.

Currently saving hard for my first investment property, could I ask, were you able to get this property on a standard BTL mortgage, or did you need a briding loan/ Bridge to let deal?
How quickly would you remortgage to get your deposit out, and what would the cost of fees be?
Also is there a service charge on this prpoerty, ground rent etc?

Real world figures are very helpful and a complete breakdown including all buying costs would be very useful!
