I choose 7 for metal. It give me low range for riffing & also still have standard tuning for solos. But i play my 6 strings semi hollow guitar to play kind of solos like marty friedman songs. Sometimes i wanna play drop c or lower tuning in 6 strings & play riff only, but i have issues in bass tuning & its string size. Bass need a set of custom string size to rich the best tone for drop c or lower & it so expensively in indonesia to order custom string size for bass. But i don't care you play 6 or 7 strings, you're always give us a great playing. Nice to follow you. Cheers from indonesia 🍻
