I think this could be a trap game for the Chargers. A number of Saints starters seem slated to return (possibly including but probably not including Carr iirc) and they had a mini bye vs a short week. Shaheed had meniscus surgery and is expected to be out the rest of the season, but the Saints have hired Scalding who is I presume going to take a sorta Shaheed-like role. Getting an o line of mostly starters as opposed to mostly backups or backup backups should, I imagine, help Rattler or whoever is under center by then, plus Olave seems likely to come back and Hill seems likely to come back. The defense seems like it could be boosted by the return of Pete Werner as well. If the offense gives more production then the defense's job also gets easier.

If Herbert plays like last week and the defense holds the Saints to passing most of the time I think The Chargers will win this one. GO CHARGERS!!
