Charest is a Liberal at heart, much more left of center than O'Toole. I believe this is only a play at power for his own personal gain at a crucial time in Canadian history. He won't be getting my vote as a member of the Conservative Party and anyone who doesn't want him as the leader, would be inclined to get a membership and vote against Charest in the Conservative leadership race.
