I have heard this garbage for years quite personally as a man, in the words of Rhett Butler “frankly my dear I don’t give a dam” ok now getting back to my point I could care less how I look to others I wear what I like on me and really could care less how others view me or the oh you look pale in that color what’s important to me is how I look to myself and not others whether they are strangers or I know them. If my wife asks me not to wear something I won’t but she does not bring up styles or how it makes me look but what she wants to see on me so I will do that for her because of my deep love for her and to heck with what others think of the colors I wear.

Wait, are you saying that a light complexioned (like you) man should wear colors that look good on you (a woman)? Slightly confusing.

Should such a man’s outfit consist “exclusively” of reds, pinks and purples, or is this more a question of adding complementary accents to basic hues that work (the grey suit, for example)?

First time comment, btw. Your advice is fantastic and is workable. It’s more reinforcing in my case: a few years ago, following a disastrous divorce that was a long time coming, my college sweetheart and I reconnected and have not been apart since. Youth wasted on the young, in both our cases, but we are now married with a large blended family and happily making up for lost years.

I digress. The point is your posts are fantastically supportive and affirming. And that a good relationship is worth every effort - especially when the effort does not feel like a chore.
