INGEZIM PPA COMPAC is an enzymatic assay based on a blocking ELISA assay technique, which uses a monoclonal antibody (MAb) specific to African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) VP72 protein.
TECHNICAL BASIS OF THE KIT
1. Plates are coated with inactivated ASFV antigen (VP72 protein). Sera samples are added and incubated.
2. If the samples contain specific antibodies to ASFV, they will bind the antigen.
3. When a MAb-PO specific of VP72 is added, only if there are no antibodies in the sample blocking the antigen (negative animals), it will bind to the protein. In case the sample contains antibodies blocking the antigen (infected animals), the conjugate will not be able to bind to it. The binding is detected by the development of a colorimetric reaction after the addition of the substrate.
