I have rewatched 3 times, I do not see any mechanics requires Yummi to detach once

Forcing her healing to be conditional on her being vulnerable, making her E shield instead of heal, and the best friend mechanic incentivizing her to stay on the ADC, are all very clever changes and I hope they make her healthier

idk if this fixes the frustration of playing against this champion or not, but this sounds like a more interesting champion at the very least. this is MUCH more compelling to me.

As a Yuumi main, I admit, I was scared this rework was going to detract from her 100% loyal support fantasy.

If anything, this seems to have IMPROVED on that fantasy! And they gave her a lot of incentive to sign with her adc, instead of going off and hanging out with the toplaner.

Important thing is that her e doesnt cost % mana anymore. With the onhit changes as well seems like meta yuumi build is always gonna be every single ap mana item, cause she can actually heal more with more mana now.

I have this weird feeling we are going to see solo lane Yuumi become a thing, to avoid becoming Best Friends with an ADC and instead hop on the Jungler or Top/MId Hypercarry.
And considering she can lane fairly safe now with the new E and the Passive sustain, that might work.

No hard cc is a reeeealy tough nerf.Also, I'm pretty sure that the main mechanic people don't like about yuumi is being untargetable, and even after a rework that's still in there.

Honestly, they should had just given her targetability, but she gets to choose where she orbits around the champion. This would make it better than the current shit that she has.

Theory: There will one day be a strategy for Yuumi players to not atttach to their ADC unless absolutely necessary to ease being able to become best friend with another laner.

Yummi w can't be balanced, so they did nothing with this rework. She still has the same problem.

shes now good with someone that she spent earlygame with
so basically she needs to be on adc instead of a fed laner
and also ult affects teammates so yuumi staying on a backline champ will be more usefull (another one to keep her a support that suports adc ofc)

so here's what i get( maybe can help someone who a lil bit confused)

the passive is like a rakan q heal and attaching to someone give frendship stacks, ally with most stack is "best furiend"

Q is similiar to old q but can only controlled for the first few moments

W no longer grants adaptive ad/ap, but grant heal and shield power instead, if on best furiend will give some kind of lifesteal/heal on hit

E still give movement speed, and attack speed, but is a shield instead of heal, also restore mana

ult no longer root but only slows, can change dirrection while attached, also heals/shields allies, bonus healing on best furiend

I was worried for the rework but this seems very promising! It looks like she if more of a constant healing kinda support now and they took away the shared bonus stats which was what really made who she was attached to insane, specially bruisers.
